Leslie A. Weise, Principal of Cleantech Business Solutions, has 20 years of business, legal and technical experience in the cleantech, computer and networking industries. Upon redirecting her focus to renewable energy, in 2005 she obtained a Master of Law degree (LLM) in Natural Resource and Environmental Law and Policy from the University of Denver, during which she was an intern at the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy in Golden, Colorado.

Leslie's work with cleantech companies includes business development, legal and policy projects for Cool Energy, Inc., a developer of low temperature Stirling engine technology for converting alternative energy heat sources into electricity. She has also consulted several cleantech companies regarding grant funding opportunities and has prepared and submitted numerous grant applications on their behalf.

Prior to 2004, Leslie worked for Silicon Valley based Fortune 500 semiconductor and networking technology companies such as Applied Materials, Redback Networks, Honeywell and Xerox. Her business experience includes oversight of M&A activity for AlliedSignal/Honeywell, and as General Counsel of NPTest, a semiconductor test equipment spin-off company of Schlumberger.

Leslie also possesses a Master of Intellectual Property Law degree and J.D., as well as a B.S. in engineering from Boston University aside from a Master of Law in Natural Resource and Environmental Law and Policy.  Leslie is a resident of Boulder, Colorado, where she enjoys the outdoors and the magic of the Rocky Mountains with her son Jamison and extended family.

Leslie is a registered Patent Agent with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and is licensed to practice law in California and New York.
